General info to
help make your Florida visit more memorable:
 | Plan your activities in advance. It will help you prevent missing
something you really want to do. Try to to make reservations when
possible. Remember, don't over schedule, it is a vacation. Enjoy it! |
 | Always wear sunscreen with a SPF of at least 15, sunglasses with UV
protection, and a hat. Paying extra attention to the face, nose, and ears
-- these areas often are missed. Our sun can be quite hot, and a sunburn can
make your visit miserable. You can get sunburned even if you're not at the
beach or pool.

 | Whenever you are outdoors, drink plenty of water, even if you do not
feel thirsty. It is easy to get dehydrated in the heat.

 | Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, especially if you're visiting a
theme park.

 | Best time of year to visit theme park OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER excluding
Thanksgiving. No lines, Cooler weather temperature in the Mid 70's and low
80's. Better rates on Hotels.

 | Disney Theme Park Have hopper Passes (The ability to go to more than
one park on the same day) and Speed Passes (Skip the lines and the wait)

 | Avoid sun exposure during the hottest hours. Try to plan a break or an
indoor activity during the hottest part of the day.

 | Don't forget your camera and bring plenty of film - Florida is filled
with photo opportunities.

theme parks and attractions. Most of them offer them.

 | Take advantage of the free transportation offered by many hotels to
nearby attractions.

 | Enjoy the Florida wildlife, but don't get too close. They are wild and
shouldn't be fed or harassed

 | Use beach-access walkways to protect the sand dunes and don't collect
any live seashells or sea oats. Enjoy watching the seabirds, turtles,

 | At the beach, remember to always stay designated swimming areas and keep an eye on your children. Never swim alone.
